Richmond Area Mothers of Multiples

Helping Hands
Helping Hands is one of RAMOM's community outreach programs.  Through Helping Hands, the club "adopts" one or two families in need in the Richmond area and provides various items to them throughout the year.  These items may include necessities such as food, diapers, formula and clothing, as well as various other fun treats and gifts.  The families are nominated by RAMOM members, but they remain anonymous to protect their privacy.  The only requirements to being a Helping Hands family are that the family has multiples (twins, triplets, etc), that they are not members of RAMOM, and that they are in need of our assistance.

Happy Spring, everyone!  I hope you all have been able to enjoy this wonderful
weather we have been having recently.  I thought we would do something fun for
our two Helping Hands families and give all the children "Spring Baskets" this
month.  Although our meeting falls a couple weeks after Easter, you can still
take advantage of all the sales that will be going on to maybe find some things
to help fill their baskets....including a chocolate Easter bunny, if you would
like!  The ages of the children range from 4 months to 7 years.  Of course, I
will always accept monetary donations and will do the shopping for you.
Examples of some items include:

~Small toys
~Books and Coloring Books
~Candy
~Stickers
~Crayons
~Bubbles
~Snacks
~Chalk

Thanks again for all you do for our Helping Hands families!  Because of your
donations, we have been able to give these families clothes for their children
for both fall/winter and spring/summer.  We have provided one of the families
with a phone and paid for the monthly minutes since last September.  And we have
donated many baby essentials to them, such as boxes of diapers, cans of formula
and jars of baby food.  These are only a few of the wonderful things that you
all have helped provide to them.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!
